Since childhood, Deborah has had a passion for art which culminated a decade ago in ownership of Studio 21 Fine Art in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the most significant contemporary commercial gallery in Atlantic Canada. Under her direction, it became the only gallery in the region to reach markets across Canada, the US and overseas. Her diverse background includes legal practice and senior communications roles in corporate, non-profit and institutional environments. Deborah brings deeply embedded connections in the regional community, as well as a perspective of the art landscape in Canada and abroad. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, an LLB from Dalhousie University, an LLM from the London School of Economics.
