about us

Tracy and Deborah’s partnership seamlessly merges Tracy’s international background in the high end interior design sector with Deborah’s expertise as the former owner of a distinguished Canadian art gallery.

This convergence of complementary disciplines provides our clients with an unrivalled depth of resources and creative scope rarely found in a single studio.

Today, we are proud to offer this integrated vision to a global clientele.

Prior to co-founding Carver Hain Art + Design, Deborah’s lifelong passion for art culminated in a dozen year ownership of Studio 21 Fine Art, the most significant contemporary commercial gallery in the Maritimes. Under her direction, it became the only gallery in the region to reach markets across Canada, the US and overseas by participating in international art fairs. The gallery represented fine art and crafts from across Canada. Deborah brings deeply embedded connections in the regional community, as well as a perspective of the art landscape in Canada and abroad. She is a recognized contributor to the national arts and culture community.

Deborah’s diverse background includes legal practice and senior communications roles in corporate, non-profit and institutional environments. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, an LLB from Dalhousie University, an LLM from the London School of Economics. She is the recipient of 2025 Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for Fine Craft.
